My webpage is somewhat like a house, I could construct it differently as much as I could but it would be meaningless if I didn't live in there. My house could be the most extraordinary structure in the galaxy but if there is nothing in here it would be... pointless. That's why software that runs on our devices is an essential part of our lives too. But why it has to be open source? Doesn't the proprietary software that usually comes from big corporations function as the same (or even better in some cases) as free and open source software? The truth is, proprietary software has a lot of disadvantages that stems from not being free (free as in liberty, not as in price-free)
