So, to get back to track, I recently got a radio from a stationary. (weird I know) I bought it because it was relatively cheap and it had many features such as MP3 playback support, Bluetooth support and radio. It was both a good and bad choice to be honest. That's why software that runs on our devices is an essential part of our lives too. But why it has to be open source? Doesn't the proprietary software that usually comes from big corporations function as the same (or even better in some cases) as free and open source software? The truth is, proprietary software has a lot of disadvantages that stems from not being free (free as in liberty, not as in price-free)
